Cables & Crypts
A downloadable game
Cables & Crypts
Wire your controls. Brave the dungeon.
You don't just play Cables & Crypts - you build the controller first.
Before every run, you're dropped into a tangled mess of cables and key inputs. Drag them, plug them into the right slots, and decide how you'll move, attack, and survive. Then the dungeon opens.
Each floor is a procedurally generated crypt filled with enemies, locked doors, and secrets. Fight your way through, collect coins, and make it to the next level - if your setup is good enough.
Between floors, visit the shop. Spend your coins on new key inputs to expand your controller, or invest in powerful upgrades that change how you play entirely. Choose wisely: every input you plug in costs energy, and energy is life.
Controls
Cables & Crypts has no fixed controls - you decide them.
Drag cable inputs onto action slots to assign your keys. Every action is yours to wire up as you see fit. Replug between runs to adapt to what the dungeon throws at you.
Upgrades
- Sprint (active) - Burst forward at high speed. Useful for closing gaps or escaping tight spots.
- Area Attack (active) - Release a shockwave that damages all nearby enemies at once. High cost, high reward.
- Pierce Attack (active) - Launch a projectile that cuts through enemies in a line. Great for tight corridors.
- Shield (active) - Briefly block incoming damage. Timing is everything.
- Push (active) - Knock back surrounding enemies. Pairs well with environmental hazards.
- Dodge (active) - A quick roll that makes you briefly invulnerable. Master it and it changes everything.
- +1 Heart (passive) - Increase your maximum health by one. Straightforward, and never a bad pick.
- +1 Energy (passive) - Gain an extra energy point, letting you plug in more inputs at once.
- Reflexes (passive) - Permanently increase your movement speed. The dungeon feels smaller.
- Fast Attack (passive) - Reduce your attack cooldown. Hit more, hit faster.
